City Collaborates with High Prosecutor to Provide Cars to Help Distribute Oxygen Cylinders

Jakarta Government collaborates with High Prosecutor's Office to refill and distribute oxygen cylinders which needed to treat COVID-19 patients in hospitals in Jakarta. Through this collaboration, vehicles will be provided to supply oxygen cylinders in hospitals throughout Jakarta that treat COVID-19 patients.

Jakarta Secretary, Marullah M atali who also attended to send off oxygen cylinder refill service fleets at RSUD Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, expressed his appreciation to Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office for its supports. Considering oxygen cylinders supply is very much needed amid increase in COVID-19 cases.

"Hopefully collaboration between High Prosecutor (Kejati) and State Attorney (Kejari) can be useful for Jakarta residents, especially regarding oxygen distribution. Thank you for your contribution in providing vehicles that will be used to distribute and picking up oxygen cylinders," he said, Wednesday (7/7), as quoted from Jakarta PPID Press Release.

Meanwhile, Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office Head, Asri Agung Putra mentioned, contribution in providing fleets is done to support humanitarian assistance in assisting COVID-19 patients. It should be noted that fleets deployed are the evidence cars and cars owned by High Prosecutor's Office's prisoners.

"Thank you for giving us opportunity to contribute. We have nothing, but there are few prisoners' cars and evidence cars in front of us. We want to use it to contribute to humanity," he conveyed.

Furthermore, he instructed his subordinates in five regions to support oxygen cylinders distribution to hospitals in need. He asked hospitals and local government to directly contact local State Attorney if they need oxygen cylinders.

"Please include Kejari's mobile number, thus you can immediately call in case you need to distribute oxygen cylinders. Please feel free to contact us in Kejari. I have asked South Jakarta Kejari and Kejari in other regions to do the same thing, prisoner's cars and evidence cars can be used to help distribute oxygen cylinders," he explained.

RSUD Pasar Minggu Director, Yudi Amiarno stated, oxygen cylinders is urgently needed by patients in emergency room (ER). Because liquid oxygen is intended for inpatients at RSUD Pasar Minggu.

"This cylinder is for patients in ER, because patients pile up in there thus it exceeds liquid oxygen which distributed to inpatients through the wall. Thus we have to prepare portable tubes. Therefore, we have to go to agent to refill it. Formerly, agent could deliver oxygen to hospital, but now they can't, thus we have to transport it to them," he explained.

For oxygen cylinder refill from RSUD Pasar Minggu will be directed to agents located in Marunda and Pulogadung. According to him, the need for oxygen cylinder at RSUD Pasar Minggu reached 20 cylinders with capacity 6 cubic meters per day. With vehicles support, it really helps his side to deliver and refill oxygen cylinders faster.

"It can be 20 cylinders measuring 6 cubic meters per day. Because it only lasts three to four hours for one patient, so it must be refilled quickly. It is very helpful even though in the end it still depends because of long queue at filling station, as well as long trip to come back here," he conveyed.
