Ahok: I Need Vice Who is Ready to Work

Jakarta Governor Basuki ‘Ahok’ Tjahaja Purnama admitted that he needs a vice to finish many pending works. As for the four deputies who accompany him all this time, they still cannot replace the position of vice governor.

“We really need a vice (governor) because our works are so many,” he uttered, Friday (11/21).

For the figure, Ahok wants a person who can work fast in solving city’s problems that are complex. He wants so because the tenure is only three years left.

“The important thing is that the person must not from political party. It it’s someone with political minds, I’ll be tired. What we want is someone who is willing to work hard to realize the New Jakarta in three years,” he stated.

According to Ahok, he is still waiting for the Government Regulation (PP) as derivative from Law and Regulation (Perppu) No. 1/2014. If later the PP states that vice governor should be from political party, he will obey it. But still, he will choose someone who wants to work fast.

“I it had to be someone from political party, that’s okay. But, are you ready to work hard or not?” he asked.

Actually, Ahok wants to have two vices. However, his wish is against the Enactment of Government Regulation in Lieu of Law No. 1/2014 on the Election of Governor, Regent, and Mayor.

“If I have two vices, that’s okay. The more the better,” he said.
