14 AKAP Buses in East Jakarta Grounded

We punish them as they pick up passengers in a forbidden area

The East Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency (Dishub) has noted that as many as 14 AKAP buses' operation had to be stopped temporarily amid Emergency PPKM period from July 3 to 25.

Pulogebang Terminal Tightens Passenger Supervision

Supervision and Control Division Head, Riky Erwinda expressed, those 14 buses were sanctioned after picking up passengers outside the terminal. They were grounded at Pulogadung and Pulogebang terminals.

"We punish them as they pick up passengers in a forbidden area," he stated, Monday (7/26).

During Emergency PPKM, he explained, every AKAP bus was obligated to show a valid health certificate, like PCR or swab tests. If they did the same mistake, the Covid-19 would continue to haunt the Jakarta city, especially in East Jakarta.

Therefore, he was continuously intensifying supervision in a number of areas, like in Pasar Rebo intersection area, Ria Rio Reservoir area, access to West Cakung Toll Road, Pangkalan Jati Kalimalang area and area under Kampung Melayu Flyover. Then on Jalan Raya Bogor Kramat Jati, Jalan Raya Bekasi, Cakung and so forth.

"To avoid the same case, we will patrol every day through three teams or 16 officers," he asserted.
