Connecting Channel on Jalan Basoka Raya Dredged

As many as 14 personnel of the West Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency has started dredging the connecting channel on Jalan Basok Raya, Joglo Urban Village, Kembangan, which aims to optimally accommodate rainwater in large quantities.
It has been ongoing since a week and is targeted to be complete this week
Kembangan Sub-district SDA's Executing Unit Field Coordinator, Sarmili said, the channel were dredged up to 500 meters with two meters width and 1.5 meters depth.

It was conducted as the thickness of the mud had reached up to 70 centimeters.
"Actually, this is done regularly every five months to anticipate flooding when it rains," he said.
He hoped that locals could be more concerned with environmental cleanliness by not littering, especially into channels.
"It has been ongoing since a week and is targeted to be complete this week," he stated.
