SDA Agency Improves SPALD Capacity in Two Locations

Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Agency increased capacity for Residential Scale Domestic Wastewater Management System (SPALD) at Fire Handling and Rescue Agency Dormitory in Semper Barat, North Jakarta and RPTRA Kemandoran, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta.

Improvement on residential scale SPALD is carried out to overcome sanitation problems in residential areas

Jakarta SDA Agency's Wastewater Improvement and Control Section Head, Ichsan Nasution stated, existing SPALD piping system at Gulkarmat Agency's Semper Barat Dormitory which originally had 90 house connections (SR) will be expanded to 150 SR. While in RPTRA Kemandoran which had 32 SR will be expanded to 150 SR.

"Improvement on residential scale SPALD is carried out to overcome sanitation problems in residential areas," he mentioned, Friday (8/6).

In improving Residential Scale SPALD service in those two locations, his side needed to build main piping system, install portable grease traps for household use, repair SPALD piping system and house connections.

"This project has been started from June 16, 2021 and targeted to finish on October 13," he said.
