Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Figures as of August 8

The number of people tested last week has reached 125,709

The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of August 1.

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head Dwi Oktavia Tatri Lestari stated, based on the latest data, the swab tests had been carried out on 24,001 specimens. 16,320 of them were to diagnose new cases with 1,649 positive and 14,671 negative results. In addition, an antigen test was also held today, where 8,258 were tested, with 278 positive results and 7,980 negative results.

It should be noted that there is an adjustment to the vaccination target data in Jakarta, which totals to 8,941,211 people.

Then the achievement of vaccination for children aged 12-17 years, for dose 1 had been carried out to 77.7% and the second dose covered 7.2%. While for residents aged 18-59 years, for dose 1 had been carried out to 97.3% and vaccination for dose 2 covered 38.4%. As for the elderly, vaccination dose 1 was done to 82.7% and vaccination dose 2 included 70.4%. The categories of residents 18+ who can be vaccinated in Jakarta are:

• Residents with Jakarta ID cards

• Residents with ID cards from outside Jakarta, but domiciled in Jakarta (bring domicile information obtained from the RT officer, not necessarily from the RT head)

• Workers in Jakarta who have ID cards from outside Jakarta (bring information from the workplace)
