Commemorating Indonesian Independence Day, Gulkarmat Sounds Sirens at 10:17 AM

Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Agency sounded sirens in various locations to commemorate the Seconds of Proclamation and played Indonesian national anthem, Indonesia Raya.

The sound of siren is a sign and an invitation to all people to respect the Red and White

This siren wailed to remind people to stop their activities for a moment and make a good posture to respect the solemnity of the commemoration of 76th Anniversary of Indonesia's Independence Day on August 17, 2021 at 10:17 AM.

Jakarta Gulkarmat Agency Head, Satriadi Gunawan conveyed, sirens sounded 15-20 seconds before 10:17 at all fire stations in Jakarta.

"The sound of siren is a sign and an invitation to all people to respect the Red and White. We need to take a perfect gesture, stand up straight, as the Indonesia Raya plays," he stated, Tuesday (8/17).

He advised all ranks of Jakarta Gulkarmat Agency to uphold the spirit and value of nationalism. As well as in serving the community optimally, including in overcoming COVID-19.

"Keep up the good work, it is community service, so we must be sincere in carrying out our duties and continue to implement health protocols," he asserted.
