School Bus Prepared to Faciliate Students During PTM Period

The Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) will provide free transportation service for students who take part in face-to-face learning (PTM) next week. There are about 70 school buses that serve 20 regular routes and 13 zoning routes.

Bus capacity is only 50 percent or 15 people

School Bus Technical Unit Head, Ali Murthadho said, the bus would be operated in accordance with the school's learning hours.

"During PTM, the bus will be alerted at the departure point and at the school according to the situation and conditions. We'll evaluate the progress later, if the fleet is lacking, we will add more," he expressed, Sunday (8/29).

He explained, students were required to implement strict health protocols while on the bus, namely, wearing masks, washing hands or using hand sanitizers provided in the entire school bus fleet, maintaining distance between individuals, prohibited from talking and prohibited from eating and drinking on the bus.

"Bus capacity is only 50 percent or 15 people," he explained.

He added that all the buses were safe after going through a strict sterilization process.

"Each bus will be manned by two officers who will also always remind students to obey with health protocols on the bus," he stated.
