North Jakarta PMI Fundraising Month Targets Rp 3.5 Billion This Year

North Jakarta Government and Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) launched North Jakarta PMI Fundraising Month (Bulan Dana) 2021 Program. This year's program raised theme of 'Humanity Collaboration for Rising Jakarta' with donation target Rp 3.5 billion.

North Jakarta Vice Mayor as North Jakarta PMI Fundraising Month 2021 Chairperson, Juaini Yusuf said, this fundraising will be used for the community by supporting government's efforts in preparedness, disaster management and recovery, youth development, operations, public health and services.

"Hopefully we can exceed the target because during the pandemic, social action increases and needs for social spending also increases. Thus more people will be helped by PMI program," he mentioned, Tuesday (9/21).

PMI Jakarta will Optimize Humanitarian Activities

Meanwhile, North Jakarta Government Assistant for Public Welfare and Administration as Deputy Chairperson of North Jakarta PMI Fundraising Month 2021, Wawan Budi Rahman stated, PMI Fundraising Month in North Jakarta in 2020 reached Rp 2.6 billion from target Rp 3 billion.

PMI funds were used for several activities related to COVID-19 handling and prevention, such as distributing masks, hand washing soap, water sprayers to 170 schools, portable sinks in public facilities, and vaccination support for 36,000 targets in 25 locations.

"In order to optimize donations in this year, we will carry out new strategies and breakthroughs," he asserted.
