Starting Today, Dishub Applies Traffic Engineering on Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai

Jakarta Transportation Agency applies traffic engineering due to box culvert and crossing channel construction on Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai which carried out by East Jakarta Water Reservoir (SDA) Sub-agency. This traffic engineering is implemented starting from north and south sides of Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai or in front of East Jakarta PMI Office until U-turn of PPP building.

The first stage is building box culvert on the north side of Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai

Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) Head, Syafrin Liputo conveyed, construction work will be carried out in two stages from October 2, 2021 until December 15, 2021. "The first stage is building box culvert on the north side of Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai from west (Jatinegara) to east (East Jakarta Mayor Office)," he explained on Saturday (10/2) as quoted from Jakarta PPID Press Release.

Here is traffic engineering that is applied during box culvert construction work:

Starting October 3, Traffic Engineering on Jl. I Gusti Ngurah Rai will Be Implemented

1) Heavy vehicles with Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) above 5,500 kg are prohibited from crossing at 04:00-22:00 from west (Jatinegara) to east (East Jakarta Mayor Office). They are recommended to take Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai (TL Klender Station) turn right - Jalan Pahlawan Revolusi (TL Pondok Bambu Flyover), turn left to Jalan Kolonel Sugiono (TL McDonald’s Raden Inten), turn left to Jalan Raden Inten II (TL Buaran) or go straight to Jalan RS Soekanto;

2) Normal traffic regulation on the opposite direction, from east (East Jakarta Mayor Office) to west (Jatinegara);

Meanwhile, the second stage of construction (connecting channel construction) is from south side of Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai from east (East Jakarta Mayor Office) to west (Jatinegara) will be carried out after the first stage is completed.

Traffic engineering during second stage construction period is as follows:

1) Heavy vehicles with Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) above 5,500 kg are prohibited from crossing at 04:00-22:00, from east (East Jakarta Mayor Office) to west (Jatinegara). They are recommended to take Jalan I Gusti Ngurah (TL Buaran) turn left to Jalan Raden Inten II (TL McDonald’s Raden Inten), turn right to Jalan Kolonel Sugiono (TL Pondok Bambu Flyover), turn right to Jalan Pahlawan Revolusi (TL Klender Station) or go straight to Jalan Basuki Rachmat;

2) Normal traffic regulation on the opposite direction, from west (Jatinegara) to east (East Jakarta Mayor Office);

Further information will be announced. During the construction work, his side will apply traffic engineering for the needs of construction workspace and traffic flow using Transjakarta lane (mixed traffic).

Therefore, his side appealed road users to adjust their mobility and obey traffic signs installed on the location.

"We hope road users can follow traffic engineering that has been set, always obey traffic signs and follow instructions from officers on the field, and prioritize safety on the road. Then, for people in general, please not to carry out unnecessary mobility, except for urgent matter and please always comply with health protocols," he stated.
