Phb Channel Construction on Jl. I Gusti Ngurah Rai has Reached 30 Percent

The progress of connecting channel construction work on Jl. Raya I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Klender, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta which has been started since Sunday (10/3) recently has reached 30 percent. It is targeted to finish on December 15.

As this morning, we have installed 265 culvert boxes

Based on observation in the field on Wednesday (10/27), two cranes and one beko were deployed to build Phb channel along 878 meters. Beko is used to dig with depth and width 3.5 meters. While cranes are used to lift and install U-ditch concrete with size 2.5x2.5 meters.

East Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency's Drainage Improvement and Development Section Head, Tengku Saugi Zikri stated, the project had to be accelerated but the quality of work would still be prioritized. Moreover, the project is located under major roads which are crossed by many vehicles every day. Therefore, it must be built with high quality.

"As this morning, we have installed 265 culvert boxes. We are targeting to finish the project according to specified schedule, which is on December 15," he asserted.

Apart from two cranes and one beko, his side also deployed 25 dump trucks to transport excavated soil.

"The work is accelerated every day, non-stop, by the contractor," he added.

For information, Phb and crossing channels construction work was carried out to follow up resident's proposal through Musrenbang. This project aims to overcome inundation in RW 10 Klender.
