Urban farming activists enthusiastically welcomed the Rooftop Garden Photo contest initiated by Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Agency in collaboration with Jakarta Baznas Bazis and PT East West Seed Indonesia (Cap Panah Merah). Until today at 2 PM, 102 people have registered to participate in the competition.

"Registration closes today at 11:59 PM. Let's register yourself and win the prize," she expressed, through a written statement, Thursday (11/4) evening.
She explained, today the distribution of seeds has also been carried out to the contestants in the yard of the KPKP Agency Office, Jalan Gunung Sahari Raya, Central Jakarta.
"Each contestant gets four types of seeds from namely, melon, cucumber, tomato and kailan. They also get directions regarding technical competitions and consultations on problems in agricultural cultivation," she explained.
So far, she detailed, there have been 29 participants from East Jakarta, 28 from South Jakarta, 17 from Central Jakarta, 15 from North Jakarta, 12 from West Jakarta, and one from Thousand Islands.
"We prepared a total cash of Rp 15 million for the winner. This contest is launched as a form of appreciation to further motivate urban farming activists in Jakarta," she explained.
She hoped that it could also make urban farming activists more creative and innovative, especially in utilizing rooftops.
"Hopefully urban farming in Jakarta will continuously develop and contribute to maintaining food security and fulfilling family nutrition," she stated.
On the other hand, one of the participants, Suryanto admitted, as an urban farming activist, he was happy to take part in the contest.
"Very interesting, hopefully it can become an annual agenda thus it can motivate other people to do urban farming," he said.
