No Additional RTH in Central Jakarta This Year

Central Jakarta Administration confirmed would not add green open space (RTH) this year due to difficulties in acquiring land. Moreover, almost all landowners are willing to give up their lands in accordance to the price of tax object sales value (NJOP).

For information, the municipality now has 1,747,692.80-square-meter wide of green open spaces. That does not include the parks located in 28 locations.

No Additional RTH in Central Jakarta This YearAnother difficulty faced, Saragih continued, is that the status of many lands is in dispute by the heirs of the landowners.
“Due to many problems, we cannot add green open space this year,” he said.
Because of that, Central Jakarta Parks Sub-Department this year is focused on repairing and maintaining existing green open spaces, including the 28 parks which spread in eight sub-districts.
