Connecting Bridge Repair Work on Jalan Pete Cilangkap Completed

The connecting bridge repair work between villages on Jalan Pete, Cilangkap, Cipayung, East Jakarta has completed. It will then be painted with yellow color and and its base layer will be asphalted using hotmix.

After it is done, the motorist will feel safely when they pass the bridge

Road and Bridge Division Head, Budi Cahyo disclosed, it is done to follow up on residents' request through Musrenbang.

The bridge itself was previously badly damaged, the left and right sides had holes. Moreover, it was often inundated when the Cilangkap connecting channel (Phb) overflowed.

"After it is done, the motorist will feel safely when they pass the bridge," he said, Sunday (11/28).

According to him, the repair was conducted up to 3.6 meters width. The body of the bridge that was built is 50 centimeters higher than the previous condition. It was also done to avoid piles of garbage and to prevent flooding.

He mentioned, its construction was built using cast concrete to make it sturdy. Then on the left and right mounted ralling for safety fences.

"To repair it, we spend a budget of Rp 900 million," he stated.
