Thousand Islands Satpol PP planted trees in several locations in Thousand Islands.

We want to contribute in protecting and preserving the environment

Thousand Islands Satpol PP Head, Rahmat Effendi Lubis conveyed, 125 trees were planted in North Thousand Islands Sub-district and 75 trees were planted in South Thousand Islands Sub-district.

"We want to contribute in protecting and preserving the environment. It is also very important for the future generation," he stated, Tuesday (11/30).

City Park and Forestry Agency Plants 2,500 Mangrove Trees

He explained that his side planted protective trees and productive trees, such as indian almond tree (ketapang), fish poison tree (butun), jackfruit tree (nangka), silk tree (sengon), and guava tree.

"Hopefully these trees will also beautify Thousand Islands as tourist destination and reduce impact of climate change," he said.
