Anies Announces Simpang Temu Lebak Bulus Construction

In order to realize massive intermodal integration area in Jakarta, the Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan declared Transit Oriented Development (TOD) construction in Lebak Bulus called Simpang Temu Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (8/12) morning. This TOD is built to facilitate pedestrians from Lebak Bulus MRT Station to transit point in Transit Plaza, Lebak Bulus.

It is also supporting the realization of intermodal integration in the region

He appreciated the declaration held by PT. MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) because it is expected to provide convenience for pedestrians and public transport users in doing transit.

"It is also supporting the realization of intermodal integration in the region by building meeting point of intermodal passenger transport, including MRT Jakarta, Transjakarta, and online transportation," he said, as quoted from Jakarta PPID Press Release, Wednesday (12/8).

MRT Jakarta Pursues Seamless Public Transit Integration in Lebak Bulus

By building Simpang Temu Lebak Bulus, he also want to encourage people to take public transport, such as MRT, that is more emission-free. Moreover, this development is an important phase in the transformation process of Jakarta towards resilient city and city that adopts principle of sustanaible development.

"We want residents to live comfortably and easy to move from one place to another through integrated transportation modes that is connected in this Simpang Temu Lebak Bulus," he added.

In addition, he also appreciated collaborative work between private parties, namely PT. Intiland Development and PT. Inti Menara Jaya with MRT Jakarta in realizing Simpang Temu Lebak Bulus construction project.

In this case, PT. MRT Jakarta acts as the management of Lebak Bulus Transit Oriented Area (KBT) that monitors licensing application process, as well as monitoring development process carried out by PT. Inti Menara Jaya. Construction is targeted to be completed in 10 months after declaration.

"We appreciate this collaboration in order to realize massive intermodal integration area in Jakarta. Hopefully this project can be completed on target thus it can be used as soon as possible and beneficial for Jakarta residents and its surroundings," he conveyed.

For information, Simpang Temu Lebak Bulus construction is a form of realization of Lebak Bulus Transit Oriented Area (KBT) in accordnace with Gubernatorial Regulation No. 57/2020 on City Design Guidelines for Lebak Bulus Transit Oriented Development, where PT. MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) also received assignments to develop other KBTs in Dukuh Atas, Blok M, Senayan, Fatmawati, and Lebak Bulus.

Simpang Temu Lebak Bulus is also one of Priority Infrastructure Development Realization projects in KBT according to PRK based on Governor's Instruction No. 49/2021 on Settlement of Regional Priority Issues in 2021-2022.

This TOD will provide multi-modal transit point from Lebak Bulus MRT Station in form of interconnection bridge along ± 200 meters to Transit Plaza which has been equipped with bicycle parking, kiss and ride, Transjakarta bus stop, and online transportation stops in a park as wide as ± 2,000 m2.

This declaration event was also attended by MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) President Director, William Sabandar and his subordinates; PT. Intiland Development Business Development Director, Permadi Indra Yoga; PT. Inti Menara Jaya President Director, Hans Hutoyo and ranks of Jakarta Government.
