Tanah Abang Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) normalized channel located on Jalan Danau Sekawi RT 04/06, Bendungan Hilir Urban Village. This normalization was planned to be carried out from December 8 until end of December 2021 along 75 meters.

After normalization, we hope water will flow properly thus it can minimize inundation in the surrounding area

Tanah Abang Sub-district SDA Unit Head, Eli Menawan Sari mentioned, from total 75-meter plan, 39.6 meters or about 52.8 percent have been worked on.

Channel Normalization Work Carried Out on Jalan Kramat Soka

"The existing channel has width of 30 centimeters and height of 30 centimeters. After normalization, its width will be 40 centimeters and 50 centimeters for its height. Later,u-ditch and stones will be also installed," she said, Wednesday (12/22).

This normalization work was carried out to follow up proposal from Bendungan Hilir Urban Village Head because rainwater couldn't flow properly during heavy rains due to small size of the channel.

"We deploy 6 personnel of Tanah Abang Sub-district SDA Unit equipped with breakers, hoes, crowbars, and others. After normalization, we hope water will flow properly thus it can minimize inundation in the surrounding area," she conveyed.
