Central Jakarta Satpol PP Prepares to Prevent Crowds, Enforce Restrictions During New Year's Eve

The Central Jakarta administration is set to deploy around 230 personnel of Satpol PP to maintain public order and crack down on any health protocol violations during the year-end holiday period.

Central Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Bernard Tambun expressed, they would be stationed at eight sub-districts in Central Jakarta.

"We will guard the HI Roundabout and Jalan Jenderal Sudirman areas during New Year's Eve," he expressed, Wednesday (12/29).

He explained, similar action would also be focused on Monas Gate, in front of United State Embassy Building, in front of Plaza Indonesia, Sumenep Park, Jalan Benyamin Sueb, Lapangan Banteng, Istiqlal Great Mosque areas.

Then in FX Sudirman, Jalan Penjernihan, Kendal Tunnel, Lima Senen Intersection, Jalan Salemba, Galur and Jalan Letjen Suprapto areas.

Central Jakarta Mayor, Dhany Sukma asserted, there would be no convoy activity on the road to welcome New Year's Eve.

"The Central Jakarta area is very risky, as it is the destination for the celebration core of New Year's Eve. If we see crowd, we will disband it persuasively," he stated.
