Governor Anies Hopes Jakarta Becomes Superior Seed Ecosystem for Football Athletes

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan visited and witnessed the routine practice of Batavia FC team at Pancoran Soccer Field, South Jakarta, on Monday (1/3).
In his visit, he was accompanied by Pancoran Soccer Field (PSF) Chairman and also owner of Batavia FC, I Gede Widiade together with several other club owners who competed in Liga 3 Indonesia.

On behalf of Jakarta administration, we thank you for allocating your time, energy, and resources for the new generation, thus they can become good soccer athletes," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.
He also asserted that the administration fully supports the growth of football clubs from Jakarta. Hopefully, the soccer club would become an ecosystem for the growth and development of soccer athletes who can excel and be proud at the national and international levels.
"We know Batavia FC has won in Liga 3. We pray that they go to the next level. This is an effort from all of us, where Jakarta can be a home for many teams and they will all come to bring our good name. We want to support all sports activities in any branch including football," he explained.
"So, we watched live and were very happy to meet players from the U15, U17 and League 3 age groups. Then we hope their achievements will increase and be even more proud," he furthered.
Pancoran Soccer Field (PSF) Chairman, I Gede Widiade appreciated the administration's support for the development of local clubs from Jakarta, especially clubs competing in League 3.
"It is a blessing that we are gathered here and the Governor's arrival to see and give support to one of the 3 league champions Batavia FC. We feel grateful to Mr. Anies who took the time," he closed.
Besides Batavia FC, the Governor also met the owners of 13 other clubs competing in Liga 3, including 2 clubs from Liga 2 Askot PSSI, as follows:
