March 2015, Jalan Daan Mogot Elevated

The road elevation project at Jalan Daan Mogot KM 13, West Jakarta, which was scheduled to complete in mid-December 2014 will be completed in March 2015. It is due to dense traffic in the area and quite disturbing the project.

We worried there would cause casualty if the street isn't repaired

 

Road Elevation Project Complained by Road Users

Head of New Road and Elevation Section, Jakarta Public Works Department, Heru Panatas disclosed the elevation project on Jalan Daan Mogot KM 13 is stagnated because the main line is very dense every day thus evaluation needs to be conducted. Moreover, the road from the Glass Factory-Suspension Bridge-Samsat-Indosiar is prone to flooding as high as 1 meter in rainy season.

 

"The points along Jalan Daan is very low and vulnerable to flooding. That's why we need do evaluation to get optimal results. Although the project is delayed, we keep trying to complete it as soon as possible," he stated, Wednesday (12/3).

 

While for elevation project along Jalan Arjuna Utara, is ensured to complete in mid-December. Its elevation that takes 300 meters is varied, from 1 meter and 50 centimeters where it depends on its soil contour. Such road is also often flooded, particularly in front of Esa Unggul University.

 

"The project is compliance with contract. We apologize if it has disrupted the road user activities," he exclaimed.

 

In 2015, his party would also elevate Jalan S Parman as long as 700 meters, precisely from in front of Trisakti and Tarumanegara Universities, which are one of flood-prone areas in West Jakarta.
