More Street Lights Installed in Sentra Primer Barat

As many as 14 street lights were finally installed in the area of CNI Sentra Primer Barat, Kembangan, West Jakarta. The installation is done because the place was often used by people for dating.

“We’ve installed 14 street lights with 250 watts power. It aims to avoid the area being used for inappropriate things,” stated Head of City Lightings Section for West Jakarta Industry and Energy Sub-Department, Yanuar Ihsan, Wednesday (12/3).

For information, CNI Sentra Barat is located behind West Jakarta Mayor office. The area is always crowded at night because there are many kinds of culinary sold by traders and enjoyed by local residents.

But since there were not enough street lights there, the location and dark condition were utilized by teenagers for dating and did inappropriate behavior.

“If the lights were strong, they would think twice before doing negative things. In addition, we also installed 17 street lights in Rawa Buaya Urban Forest,” uttered Ihsan.
