10 SDA Unit Personnel Build Street Gutters on Jl. DI Panjaitan

Preventing inundation that often occurs during heavy rain, 10 Water Resources (SDA) Unit personnel have been deployed to build street gutters on Jl. DI Panjaitan, Cipinang Besar Selatan (CBS), Jatinegara, East Jakarta.

Current progress has reached around 50 percent

Jatinegara Sub-district SDA Unit Coordinator, Tamrizal conveyed, street gutters were made, because some storm drains were higher and lower from the road surface. When the road is inundated, it takes longer to recede because it is difficult for water to flow into the gutters.

"They are made to be stable and connected between roads and storm drains," he stated, Wednesday (1/19).

His side will build a 750-meter street gutter from East Jakarta Samsat to Penas Traffic Light located at intersection of Jl. Raya Kalimalang.

"We have started building street gutters from a week ago and targeted it to be completed in the next two weeks. Current progress has reached around 50 percent," he stated.

While making the gutters, personnel were also draining and building new drains in several spots.

"Currently, there are already three new storm drains in basin area made by the SDA Unit," he mentioned.
