UTTP Tools at 15 Lokbins will Be Recalibrated until February

The Jakarta Industry Trade Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM) Agency has been conducting the metrological recalibration service for Weighing Doses and its Equipment (UTTP) in 15 coached locations (lokbin) since January 17 and will end on February 10.
They have been recalculated and declared valid for trading transactions
Metrology Technical Unit Head, Nurhidayat said, 676 UTTP units were recorded as having been recalibrated on January 17-20, 2021. Those UTTP units are belonging to traders in four lokbins, consisting of Rorotan Lokbin, Muria Dalam Lokbin, Makasar Lokbin, and Munjung Lokbin.
"They have been recalculated and declared valid for trading transactions," he expressed, Monday (1/24).
PPKUKM Agency Starts Metrological Service for UTTP Equipment Calibration and RecalibrationIn the UTTP tool recalibration session, he explained, owners or users of measuring instruments were charged retribution following Gubernatorial Regulation number 223/2016 on Adjustment of Tariffs for Service Retribution for Cooperatives Agency, SMEs and Trade.
"The retribution earned is Rp 1,345,500 since the UTTP tool recalibration for the period January 17-20, 2021," he explained.
He added the service itself is following the Trade Minister Regulation number 67/2018 on Measuring Weighing Instruments and its Equipment that must be Calibrated and Re-calibrated.
It aims to avoid losses due to errors or fraud in measuring, and weighing tools used in transactions.
"It provides assurance and certainty to consumers in terms of the correctness of measurements. Instruments that have been recalibrated are affixed with a tera signature cap (CTT)," he said.
