1,750 Children Vaccinated at Matraman Sports Center

The vaccination service center held at Matraman Sports Center (GOR), East Jakarta, served as many as 1,750 children aged 6-11 years on Thursday (1/27). This activity was organized by the Matraman Sub-district in collaboration with the TV One and the Indonesian Army/Police, which was attended by Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan and his subordinates.

Matraman Sub-district Deputy Head, Muhammad Husnul Fauzi mentioned, his side had initially prepared vaccines for 1,500 children. But, it turned out there were 1,750 participants who came to the location thus his side asked for an additional 250 vaccines.

"Initially, we prepared vaccines for 1,500 children, but apparently 1,750 came to the location. That's why, we added vaccines to anticipate an increase in participants," he explained.

Covid-19 Vaccination for Children Aged 6-11 in Koja Has Touched 94 Percent

This service was divided into several batches to avoid crowds. The first batch was held at 08:00-09:30 with a total of 500 kindergarten/early childhood education program (TK/PAUD) students from Raudhatul Anfal Teacher Association and Matraman Sub-district Kindergarten Teacher Association.

The second batch was held at 09:30-11:00, which was participated by 1,200 elementary students in total.

"All participants received the second dose of Sinovac vaccine," he added.

Matraman Sub-district Health Center (Puskesmas) Head, Rita Anggraini stated, her side deployed 75 health workers and divided them into 10 teams. They were from 6 urban village health centers, sub-district health centers, RSUD Matraman, and 2 teams from Indonesian Police.

"Sinovac vaccines are given to children aged 6-11 years. Besides, we also prepare 50 Pfizer vaccines for TV One staffs to get booster shot," she conveyed.
