The Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) has applied a traffic engineering on Jalan Kebon Sirih and Jalan M.H. Thamrin due to the continuation of the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Phase 2 CP-201 work.

The construction work will take place on February 5 - May 31, 2022 at the intersection of Jalan Kebon Sirih - Jalan M.H. Thamrin.

He explained that the construction on the east side of south segment of Tugu Jam will start from February 5 to April 3. Therefore, traffic flow from west (Tanah Abang) to east (Senen) can still pass through the intersection of Jalan Kebon Sirih - Jalan M.H. Thamrin (Tugu Jam).
Meanwhile, the work on the east side of north segment of Tugu Jam will take place from April 4 to May 31. During the period, traffic flow from west (Tanah Abang) to east (Senen) will be diverted through the south side of Tugu Jam at intersection of Jalan Kebon Sirih - Jalan M.H. Thamrin.
The following is detailed information about traffic engineering applied during construction work:
- Vehicles from east (Jalan Kebon Sirih to west (Tanah Abang) which originally crossed the intersection of Jalan Kebon Sirih - Jalan M.H. Thamrin (Tugu Jam) will be directed to turn left at Bundaran HI.
- Vehicles from east (Jalan Merdeka Selatan to west (Tanah Abang) which originally crossed intersection of Jalan Kebon Sirih - Jalan M.H. Thamrin (Tugu Jam) will be diverted via Jalan Budi Kemuliaan - Jalan Abdul Muis
- Vehicles from east (Jl. K.H. Wahid Hasyim) to west (Tanah Abang) which originally crossed intersection of Jalan Kebon Sirih - Jalan M.H. Thamrin (Tugu Jam) will be diverted to go straight through Jalan K.H. Wahid Hasyim.
- Vehicles from south (Jalan H. Agus Salim) to west (Tanah Abang) which originally crossed intersection of Jalan Kebon Sirih - Jalan M.H. Thamrin (Tugu Jam) will be diverted to turn left via Jalan K.H. Wahid Hasyim.
- Transjakarta 5M bus for Kampung Melayu Terminal-Tanah Abang route which originally crossed intersection of Jalan Kebon Sirih - Jalan M.H. Thamrin (Tugu Jam) will be diverted via Jalan Budi Kemuliaan - Jalan Abdul Muis.
- Transjakarta 1R bus for Senen Terminal-Tanah Abang route which originally crossed intersection of Jalan Kebon Sirih - Jalan M.H. Thamrin (Tugu Jam) will be diverted via Jalan Budi Kemuliaan - Jalan Abdul Muis.
