Jakarta BPS Head, Anggoro Dwitjahyono said Jakarta's economic growth from 2019 to the first quarter of 2020 reached five to six percent. Due to the pandemic conditions, it began to contract and gradually underwent a recovery process until in the fourth quarter of 2021 it grew positively by 3.64 percent.
In the fourth quarter of 2021, the number grew by 3.64 percent when compared to the fourth quarter of 2020 (y-on-y). It grew by 3.76 percent compared to the third quarter of 2021 (q-to-q).

According to him, the source of Jakarta's economic growth during 2021 based on expenditure came from Household Consumption Expenditure (PKRT), which contributed to a growth of 2.11 percent.
The second-largest source of growth came from Government Consumption Expenditure (PKP) of 1.28 percent, then Non-Gross Capital Formation (PMTB) of 0.42 percent.
"Jakarta contributes 17.19 percent of the national GDP," he explained.
Nominally, the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) based on current prices in the fourth quarter of 2021 was Rp 754.9 trillion. Meanwhile, GRDP at constant prices was Rp 477.4 trillion.
The amount of GRDP based on current prices in the third quarter of 2021 was Rp 722.7 trillion and based on constant prices in the third quarter of 2021 was Rp 460.1 trillion.
"As for the GRDP at current prices in the fourth quarter of 2020 was Rp 713.8 trillion. Yet, GRDP at constant prices was Rp 460.6 trillion," he said.
