LRT, MRT, and Transjakarta Make Adjustments during PPKM Level 3

PT. MRT Jakarta, PT. Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta), and PT. LRT Jakarta made adjustments to its services following the government's decision to raise the status of Public Activity Restrictions (PPKM) to Level 3, especially in Jakarta.

The adjustments were made based on the Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) Head's Decree No. 61/2022 on Technical Guidelines for Managing Transport Capacity and Operational Time of Transportation Facilities During PPKM Level 3 Coronavirus Disease 2019.

PT. MRT Jakarta President Director, William Sabandar said, starting today, the MRT Jakarta operates on Monday-Sunday from 06:00-21:30 with 10-minute headway and limits passengers to 65 people per train car.

His side ensured to implement strict health protocols in all station areas by checking body temperatures, requiring passengers who want to enter the station to scan using PeduliLindungi app, limiting passengers, and giving signs to maintain physical distance.

"Due to increase in COVID-19 cases, we urge residents to implement health protocols in MRT Jakarta area," he asserted, Thursday (2/10).

Meanwhile, Transjakarta bus operating hours would not change during PPKM Level 3 period. It will continue to serve customers from 05:00 to 21:30. While the Night Transport (Amari) service operates at 21:30-22:30.

However, PT. Transjakarta still limits passenger capacity to 70 percent. This policy is effective starting Saturday (2/12).

"Before the policy is effective, we will socialize it first to residents for two days, on February 10-11," said Angelina Betris, Corporate Secretary and Public Relation Division Acting Head of PT. Transjakarta.

Additionally, the temperature checking would be also carried out on customers before entering the gate stop area. They are also required to show vaccination certificates either via PeduliLindungi app, JAKI, or printed/softcopy to the officers.

They must maintain physical distance, always wear masks, and are advised not to have conversations with others, either directly or via phone while in the Transjakarta area.

"They are encouraged to always comply with applicable regulations for the safety and comfort of all of us," she conveyed.

On the other hand, the LRT Jakarta had made several adjustments during PPKM Level 3. It limits passengers to 40 people per train car or 80 people per train series. The operational hour starts at 05:30 to 21:30 with a 10-minute headway every day.

While for the LRT Jakarta, customers must wear masks, maintain distance, and are not allowed to talk or receive calls while on the train.

"It will take effect from this Thursday (2/10)," said Ira Yuanita, Corporate Secretary General Manager of PT LRT Jakarta.
