Dishub Provides Four New Boats to Serve Kali Adem - Seribu Islands

The Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) is preparing four new boats to serve the route from Kali Adem - Seribu Islands or vice versa.

They are ready to serve from Kali Adem Pier

According to Hendrico Tampubolon, Head of Water Transport Management Unit, those four boats were Sonar 1, Sonar 2, Sonar 3, and Sonar 4. Each had a capacity of 50 passengers.

"They are ready to serve from Kali Adem Pier. Its operational services are still waiting for a policy from Dishub considering the PPKM Level 3 is still applied in Jakarta," he expressed, Tuesday (2/22).

Dishub Boats Have Served 53,017 Passengers Along January-September

According to him, the boat trip fare is around Rp 44,000 per 20 miles following Bylaw number 1/2015, with details of zone 1 Rp 40,000 (close distance), zone 2 Rp 50,000 (medium distance), and zone 3 Rp 70,000 (farthest distance). Due to the pandemic, the passengers only pay 50 percent of the usual daily fare.

By so, the agency has ten boats currently serving transportation to Seribu Islands and vice versa.

"Hope they can further support community mobility and public services, as well as encourage the acceleration of economic growth, education, and tourism," he stated.
