Jakarta Vice Governor, Ahmad Riza Patria attended a virtual webinar initiated by the Bank Indonesia (BI) Representative, in South Jakarta, on Tuesday (2/22).
InsyaAllah, we fully support them to develop and progress
He asserted that the Jakarta administration fully supports the Proudly Made in Indonesia National Movement, as well as increasing acceptance of digital payments for MSMEs through various efforts and stimulus in the economic sector.
"InsyaAllah, we fully support them to develop and progress. We continue to collaborate with various parties to facilitate access to marketing by utilizing technological developments through online systems. That is through the Gebetan MSME program which is an acronym for the Joint Response Movement for MSME and Friday Buy Local," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.
Jakarta Holds Creative Video Competition 'Bangkit Wisata Jakarta'As known, the pillars of the economy in Indonesia and the city of Jakarta are most affected during the pandemic, one of which is MSMEs. Seeing this matter, the administration has made various efforts and provided a stimulus to recover the MSME business in Jakarta.
The stimulus provided is adapted to the challenges in the digital era, where there are various trends in technology development and digital marketing that are incredibly fast and increasingly sophisticated. Every MSME is expected to improve and develop its business capabilities, one of which is the acceptance of non-cash or digital payments.
"Through Jakpreneur, they are encouraged to meet with various communities, the business world, academics, and other residents. At least 120 collaborators have collaborated with the administration in the Jakpreneur program. As a result, from the target of creating 200,000 new entrepreneurs during the 2017-2022 period, there are now 281,812 registered participants in the program," he explained.
Next, through a stimulus in the form of support for the MSME Large-scale Social Collaboration (KSBB) program, the administration has also helped the marketing of MSMEs through the e-order program, promotions through Jakpreneur social media, the provision of Jakpreneur kiosks, to access to capital. "Hope all of this can further enhance our efforts to help SMEs in Jakarta," he hoped.
In addition, the city also provides solutions through the KSBB Ketenagakerjaan. By so, collaborators and the community need assistance to be facilitated, supply and demand are brought together to provide convenience to each other in overcoming problems that occur. Through this KSBB Ketenagakerjaan, training and skills provision is also realized for job seekers and also MSMEs.
"Besides being able to be a provision to find work, it can also be an entrepreneurial capital which in the end can open up new job opportunities. There are 52 collaborators from the private sector, foundations, and others who provided 82 trainings and succeeded in helping around 3,737 job seekers and MSMEs in Jakarta," he explained.
At the same time, he also said that the webinar's theme, namely 'Buy All MSME Products with the Modern Way of Paying', it becomes a very important theme and is needed by MSME actors in Indonesia to increase their sales.
"Hopefully, it can formulate and realize policies that are pro to the people, especially for Jakartans," he hoped.
