Four Sheet Piles Repair in Cipinang Elok will Be Completed Next Week

The repair work on four collapsed sheet piles in RW 10, Cipinang Elok, Cipinang Muara, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, which has been carried out since a month ago is targeted to be completed next week.

Cipinang Muara Urban Village Head, Ciptono mentioned, those sheet piles were collapsed after being hit by tree roots on the banks. The trunk of the tree was rotten but its roots continued to spread and hit channel's sheet piles.

He stated the Jatinegara Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Unit was immediately repairing them after receiving a report about the condition of sheet piles.

In addition to repairing sheet piles, they have been seen draining channels in RT 01, 04, 08, and 10/RW 10.

"We appreciate their quick response and good work in handling the problems," he expressed, Thursday (3/3).

Jatinegara SDA Unit Coordinator, Tamrizal stated, 30 personnel were deployed to repair the damaged parts of sheet piles. The length varied from 10 meters, 13 meters, 15 meters, and 35 meters.

His side had also made a 4-meter crossing channel using a box culvert with a dimension of 60x60 centimeters and drained the channel.

"And now our focus is on repairing the sheet piles," he concluded.
