2,319 UTTP Tools in 15 Lokbins Have Been Re-calibrated

The Jakarta Industry Trade Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM) Agency Metrology Management Unit has conducted re-calibration services for 2,319 devices of weighing doses and its equipment (UTTP) in 15 coached locations (lokbin) from January to February 2022.
All UTTPs that have been recalibrated are declared valid to be used for trading transactions
Those 2,319 UTTPS are belonging to traders in Rorotan Lokbin, Muria Dalam Lokbin, Makasar Lokbin, Munjul Lokbin, Kramat Jati lokbin, Nusa Lokbin, Bangun Nusa Lokbin, Meruya Lokbin, Rawa Buaya Lokbin, Palmerah Lokbin, Kramat Pulo Gundul Lokbin, Gembrong Lokbin, Cempaka Sari Lokbin, Pasar Minggu Lokbin, and Bintaro Lokbin.

UTTP Tools at 15 Lokbins will Be Recalibrated until FebruaryHe explained those traders were charged a levy following Gubernatorial Regulation number 223/2016 on Adjustment of Tariffs for Service Retribution of Cooperatives Agency, SMEs, and Trade.
"The retribution obtained during the trial service for UTTP device calibration at these 15 lokbins reached Rp 4,348,000," he explained.
It was following Trade Minister Regulation number 67/2018 on UPPT which must be calibrated and re-calibrated, which aims to avoid losses that may occur due to errors or fraud in measuring and weighing the tools used in transactions.
"This provides assurance and certainty to the public in terms of the correctness of measurements," he stressed.
He added that each UPPT that had been recalibrated was then affixed with a valid calibration stamp and continued with sealing. By so, it would be free of fraud action.
"So, consumers are comfortable doing buying and selling transactions," he said.
