PPKUKM Asks Modern Retailers to Limit Cooking Oil Sales

The Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperative, and Small Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM) Agency, conducted various efforts to ensure cooking oil availability in the market. One of them was to conduct monitoring to make sure the central government's policies run well.

Jakarta PPKUKM Agency Head, Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo stated, her side had cooperated with the Ministry of Trade to hold a Cooking Oil Market Operation in five regions of Jakarta on January 14-19, 2022.

During monitoring, her side was also asking modern retailers who have cooking oil stocks to apply restrictions on selling cooking oil by limiting purchases to two liters per person.

"We always coordinate with the Ministry of Trade and ask to maintain the stability of cooking oil supply," she conveyed, Tuesday (1/25).

In addition to monitoring, her side also coordinated intensively with the Ministry of Trade to ensure the price stability and availability of cooking oil in the market.

"The one-price policy for cooking oil set by the central government will be implemented for the next six months. We will continue to coordinate thus cooking oil stock in the market remains fulfilled at a fixed price," she explained.
