The Kelapa Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands Sub-district launches a cleanup action called Jumat Bersih that focuses on the Kelapa Island Public Cemetery (TPU).

Kelapa Island Urban Village Head Irfan Damanhuri said the action was carried out at the TPU to welcome the holy month of Ramadan, where many residents usually visit cemeteries for grave pilgrimage.

"We clean the TPU to make people comfortable when they visit the graves," he mentioned, Friday (3/18).
At the location, his side cleaned the area by collecting twigs, leaves, and weeds and disposing them to a temporary landfill (TPS) near the pier before being transported by the KM Bersih Laut.
"We have collected 3 cubic meters of trash," he conveyed.
