Deputy Governor Expects JCI Femme's Positive Contribution in Jakarta's Development

Jakarta Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria attended the inauguration and oath-taking of the new Junior Chamber International (JCI) Femme 2022 at Jakarta Council (DPRD) building, on Saturday (3/26).

He hoped that the JCI Femme as a world-class youth organization could continue to explore their potential and make a positive contribution to the development of the nation and the world, including Jakarta.
"Jakarta as a miniature of Indonesia in global area, certainly welcomes JCI Femme's participation in spreading positive values in the society. As a global organization, hope they can provide opportunities for Indonesian young people, especially in Jakarta, to become global citizens through this international meeting. I also hope they can actively participate in the development of Jakarta," he conveyed as quoted from Jakarta PPID Press Release.

"These values become our provisions in maintaining unity and integrity of the nation, especially among youths. Moreover, JCI also supports for spirit of nationalism to the young generation thus they care about environment and social issues in Indonesia and Jakarta," he mentioned.
JCI is a non-political and open international youth organization for all. They were a part of the world's largest international youth organization affiliated with the United Nations (PBB).
Indonesia has been interacting and developing JCI affiliates since 1970s. Even now, the JCI had expanded its organizational wings to approximately 27 cities and provinces in Indonesia, including Jakarta.
They had collaborated with various groups, including local governments throughout Indonesia. In 2020, they had created an organization called JCI Femme with the aim of focusing on empowering women, with different member backgrounds.
As an international community organization, which accommodates members aged 18-40 years, the JCI Femme had instilled many positive values among young people.
For information, the inauguration was also attended by JCI World President Alex Tio, JCI Femme Immediate Past President Istia Sofyania, and Jakarta Council (DPRD) Deputy Chairperson Zita Anjani.
