TPID Inspects Kramat Jati Market to Ensure Food Supply for Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr

The Jakarta Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) together with related stakeholders conducted a sudden inspection (sidak) at Kramat Jati Market, East Jakarta in a bid to ensure food supply ahead of Ramadan until Eid al-Fitri, on Wednesday (3/20).

Don't worry, the food supply is still safe and stable

It was directly led by Economics and Finance Assistant Sri Haryati and also involved around 30 joint officers from the Jakarta Economic Bureau element, PPKUKM Agency, KPKP Agency, Polda Metro Jaya, Bank Indonesia, PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya, and PD Pasar Jaya.

At that time, they were inspecting kiosks selling chicken, meat, eggs, and rice on the market's ground and second floors to inquire about prices and supplies of food commodities entering the market.

Based on the results of monitoring and explanations of several traders, it was known that the food stock during Ramadan until Eid al-Fitr would be safe.

"Don't worry, the food supply is still safe and stable," she stressed.

He added TPID has several programs for controlling inflation, starting from the supply of distribution to effective communication to the community to determine the steps to be taken in the future. They also regularly provide information on food prices that can be accessed by residents.

Jakarta Bank DKI Head Onny Widjanarko appreciated the Jakarta administration for continuing to monitor the stock of food commodities in the field. Hopefully, it could meet the needs of the residents.

"Hope this collaboration can keep Jakarta's inflation at bay and the people's daily needs will be well met," he stated.
