UPT Alkal Proposes Budget for 20 New Heavy Equipment

In supporting the acceleration of the flood handling program in Jakarta, the Water Resources (SDA) Agency's Equipment and Supplies Technical Management Unit (UPT Alkal) has budgeted 20 units of new heavy equipment through e-Catalog and public auction this year.

This is to accommodate requests from sub-agencies to accelerate flood handling

Jakarta SDA Agency's UPT Alkal Head Yoserizal stated that 20 heavy equipment budgeted this year were 2 large amphibious excavators, 6 mini wheel excavators, 4 standard wheel excavators, 6 small spider excavators, and 2 truck cranes with a weight of 7 tons each.

"This is to accommodate requests from sub-agencies to accelerate flood handling. Later, those heavy equipment will be used for reservoir and river dredging programs and new reservoirs or retention basins construction," he mentioned, Tuesday (4/5).

His side proposed a budget amounting to Rp 15.1 billion for 2 large amphibious excavators, Rp 5.9 billion for 6 mini wheel excavators, Rp 6.8 billion for 4 standard wheel excavators, Rp 27 billion for 6 small spider excavators, and Rp 2.4 billion for 2 truck cranes.

"The auction for heavy equipment is carried out using a public auction system. Except for 2 large amphibious excavators where we use e-Katalog auction," he said.

In addition to 20 heavy equipment, his side also allocated a budget of Rp 8.9 billion to procure 60 floating pumps with a capacity of 3,000 liters per minute each.

"It is currently being planned. Our target is to start the auction in July to find the winner," he conveyed.
