Here Are Fallen Tree-Prone Areas in North Jakarta

Entering rainy season, Jakartans are constantly warned to be vigilant over flooding, inundation, and fallen tree incident that often times happened recently.

Most of them are angsana trees with an average age of 10-15 years

In North Jakarta alone, 1,750 trees have been pruned. However, at least 30 trees are still prone to fall. They are located on Jalan Cemara, Jalan Kramat Jaya, Jalan Berdikari (Koja Sub-District), Jalan Yos Sudarso, Jalan Pluit Raya, Jalan Enggano (Tanjung Priok Sub-District), and Jalan Cakung Cilincing (Cilincing Sub-District).

“Most of them are angsana trees with an average age of 10-15 years,” told Head of North Jakarta Parks Sub-Department, Muhammad Dawn Sauri, Wednesday (12/10).

Shade Trees along Jalan Kalibaru Timur Need to Be Pruned

To anticipate fallen tree, Sauri stated that his department has set up a post and prone to fall tree hunter team consisting of 30 personnel. This team also serves requests from the citizens who need trees pruning in their neighborhood.
