Gambir and Senen Train Stations Gear Up for Homecoming

Peak passengers will occur from April 27 to May 1

Entering the 21st day of Ramadan, Friday (4/22), the number of passengers who will go home by trains at Pasar Senen and Gambir stations is still normal and has not shown a significant increase.

PT KAI Daop 1 Public Relations Head Eva Chairunisa stated that from Gambir Station, 33 trains were reported to be operating with a volume of 6,300 departing passengers or 41 percent of the total available seats of 15,506. Then at Pasar Senen Station, there were 26 trains operating with a passenger volume of 9,300 departing or 49 percent of the total 19/124 seats available.

"Peak passengers will occur from April 27 to May 1 with the destinations of Yogyakarta, Solo Kutoarjo, Purwokerto, Kebumen, Semarang, Surabaya, Malang, Cirebon, and Bandung," she stated.

She explained that the seating capacity during the Eid transportation period for long-distance train trips set for D-10 to D+10 after Eid al-Fitr at Gambir and Pasar Senen stations reached 35,400 seats per day.

"Long-distance train trips are programmed to have around 60 trips per day, with an average seating capacity of 35,400. 15,700 seats are at Gambir Station and 19,700 seats are at Pasar Senen Station," she said.
