All of these choices could be both for traveling alone or joining a tourist package. For museums managed by Jakarta Culture Agency (Disbud), people can visit from May 3, 2022, and other museums on May 4, 2022.
Not only that, several parks that still operate were Tebet Eco Park, Menteng Park, Ayodya Park, Langsat Park, Puring Park, and Situ Lembang Park which could be visited from 7 AM to 5 PM.
Especially on the first day of Eid, those parks could be visited after Eid prayers. As for Lapangan Banteng Park, it could be visited on the second day of Eid.
On the northern side of Jakarta, people could visit Thousand Island, not far from the coast of Jakarta. It consisted of six residential islands, five resort islands, Thousand Islands National Park, and Archaeological Museum on Onrust, Cipir, and Kelor islands.
It provided various activities such as snorkeling, diving, fishing, island hopping, or simply enjoying the beauty of a sunset on the island.
Jakarta Disparekraf also cooperated with various tourism industry associations, including the Indonesian Tourism Industry Association (GIPI), the Indonesian Recreational Parks Association (PUTRI), the Association of Indonesian Travel Companies (ASITA) Jakarta, the Association of Indonesian Air Ticket Selling Companies (ASTINDO) Jakarta, the Association of Indonesian Hotels and Restaurants (PHRI) Jakarta, and the Association of Indonesian Tour Guides (HPI) Jakarta.
Through this collaboration, Disparekraf offered attractive tour packages, such as staycation at a hotel or traveling around Jakarta by walking or riding a tour bus which is provided for free by PT. Transjakarta with 2 routes, namely Modern Jakarta and Skyscraper routes.
The varied tourist choices could be a reference for tourists who wanted to visit Jakarta during the Eid holiday. It should be noted that health protocol implementation remained a priority and must be applied by all parties, including tourist destinations management, for the convenience and safety of tourists.
Nevertheless, the Cleanliness, Health, Safety, Environment Sustainability (CHSE) compliance monitoring in the tourism industry would be also carried out. It was intended to maintain the safety of tourists in Jakarta and became a benchmark for tourism industry compliance. Good compliance with CHSE was expected to prevent a spike in COVID-19 cases after the Eid holiday.
