Based on beritajakarta.id observation, people were seen conducting graves visit to the Jeruk Purut Public Cemetery from morning to late afternoon on Monday (5/2).
Jeruk Purut Public Cemetery Caretaker Eman said the number of people visiting the graves is usually higher on the second day of Eid because most people visited their relatives on the first day of Eid.
Not Many People Seen Visiting Public Cemeteries in East Jakarta Today"It is surely different compared to last year where the cemetery was closed for the grave visits on Eid al-Fitr," he mentioned.
According to him, many people came to the cemetery for the grave visit a week before Eid.
"People who visit the graves on Eid are mostly from outside of Jakarta. While Betawian people who live around Cilandak usually make a grave visit on the second day of Eid," said the man who worked as a cemetery caretaker for 18 years.
