Transjakarta, Transport Studies Unit Oxford Sign Cooperation Agreement

Transjakarta signed a cooperation contract with the Transport Studies Unit (TSU), Oxford, to develop collaborative cooperation under the supervision of the School of Geography and the Environment.

The signing was executed by PT Transjakarta President Director M Yana Aditya and Social Sciences Division Head for University of Oxford Prof. Timothy J Power. It was also witnessed by Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.
PT Transjakarta's Corporate Communications and CSR Department Head Iwan Samariansyah disclosed that the signing was part of a series of working visits in London, England. The visit was in preparation for the overall operation of electric buses in 2030.

It can be a short course of 3-6 months, either live in the UK or online, depending on the program available," he expressed, Wednesday (5/18).
By doing so, Transjakarta had the opportunity to develop a capacity-building program or improve the quality of human resources related to the transportation sector. As a follow up, there would be training provided by the TSU expert team to Transjakarta employees.
"The team of experts can come directly from Oxford or their network in various countries who have expertise relevant to Transjakarta's needs. The cooperation is valid for the next year and can be extended according to the agreement," he said.
Previously, Transjakarta had also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Switch Mobility electric bus provider and manufacturer to find the best fleet unit, including collaborating with Bloomberg to strengthen research and data on electrification of electric buses.
