Transjakarta Still Requires Customers to Comply with Health Protocols

PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) continues to implement COVID-19 health protocols for all customers.

Based on that instruction, we are still requiring our customers to wear masks while in Transjakarta facilities and fleets

It was in line with the direction of President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo who has relaxed the policy on wearing masks in open spaces but continues wearing masks in closed spaces, including in public transportation.

"We have understood the government's instruction regarding the easing of the rules for wearing masks in open spaces. Based on that instruction, we are still requiring our customers to wear masks while in Transjakarta facilities and fleets," said Iwan Samariansyah, Corporate Communication and CSR Department Head of PT. Transjakarta, Friday (5/20).

As a Regional-owned Enterprise (BUMD) engaged in the transportation sector, PT Transjakarta is ready to follow all directions given by the government. Because maximum service from all aspects is something that should be maintained for customers satisfaction.

"Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) also requires all public transportation users to wear masks," he added.

Currently, Transjakarta is operating with normal capacity by implementing health protocols according to Public Activity Restrictions (PPKM), such as wearing masks, and showing COVID-19 vaccination certificates either through the PeduliLindungi application or JAKI or other official documents digitally or printed.

In addition, customers were also required to have their body temperature measured before entering bus stop gates and were not allowed to speak directly or by telephone.

"Hopefully, people will continue to comply with all applicable regulations," he stated.
