PT MRT Jakarta conducted an assessment and learned about the T-Money integrated transportation payment system implemented by the South Korean Government on Thursday (6/2) yesterday.

We have the initiative and fares for Jaklingko integration

PT MRT Jakarta President Director William Sabandar said, on his visit to T-Money's office in Seoul, he learned a lot about the fare mechanism and transit cards that can be used to pay for public transportation costs such as buses, subways, and taxis.

"We have a lot to learn from Seoul. We have the initiative and fares for Jaklingko integration, once public transportation is integrated in terms of facilities, infrastructure, and ticketing, it turns out that there are more passengers. We are in the process of integrating tickets and fares. So with this visit, we can adopt them in the future," he expressed.

Besides making it easier for passengers, fares were also cheaper because of targeted subsidies from the government.

"We need to continue to push it thus the process in Jakarta will be faster," he concluded.
