DPRD Plenary Meeting Approves Pansus Establishment After IKN Determination

On Monday (6/6), the Jakarta Council (DPRD) through a plenary meeting held offline and online approved the establishment of a special committee (pansus) for Jakarta after the determination of the State Capital (IKN). The plenary meeting was also attended by Jakarta Deputy Governor A. Riza Patria.

There are three pansus that have been approved in this plenary meeting

The Jakarta DPRD Deputy Chairperson Khoirudin said that the plenary meeting was attended by 50 percent plus 1 of the entire council members. The meeting unanimously approved the establishment of the Jakarta Special Committee after the determination of the State Capital by the Central Government.

"There are three pansus that have been approved in this plenary meeting, namely pansus for Jakarta after the determination of state capital (IKN), pansus for regional law draft (raperda) on Transportation Master Plan, and pansus for drinking water management after Palyja and Aetra Work Contract," he explained.

Bamus DPRD Forms Pansus for Jakarta After IKN Transfer

According to him, pansus for Jakarta after the determination of state capital was formed to follow up Regional Regulation Formation Agency (Bapemperda)'s suggestion. The pansus was formed to know Jakarta's readiness in the future after the capital city moved to East Kalimantan.

Moreover, the plenary meeting also approved the establishment of pansus on drinking water management after the work contract between Aetra and Palyja ended in January 2023. The issue and its regulation should be prepared carefully for further management.

It also approved the establishment of pansus for raperda on Transportation Master Plan which aimed to prepare regulations regarding master plan on the transportation system.

"After this, we will immediately process the composition of pansus leadership and members," he mentioned.
