25 Parks in W. Jakarta will Be Improved

We had filed all programs and budget for repairing 25 parks. I hope it can be approved soon

West Jakarta Parks Sub-Department is about to repair 25 parks in West Jakarta as an effort to create a comfortable environment. The repair will spend Rp 53 billion from 2015 City Budget (APBD).

Those parks are planned to be made more beautiful and green, among others, Sinta and Sadewa Wibisana Parks in Rawa Buaya Urban Village and Demila Park Village Demila in Tanjung Duren Urban Village.

"We had filed all programs and budget for repairing 25 parks. I hope it can be approved soon. The repair is the result of the Regional Development Planning Forum (Musrenbang) and citizen’s proposal," said Head of West Jakarta Parks Sub-Department, Arifin Djauhari, Wednesday (12/24).

He explains the park design is still being processed by consultants. This is because the parks will have a unique shape and be equipped with children's playground, children benches and stone reflection.

Besides that, he furthered, his sub-department also plans to arrange the green open space (RTH) at 43 points. Among them are green belts in Pesing Flyover, on Jalan Daan Mogot and on the edge of Mookervart River.

He added that this year, as many as 22 parks already been repaired. Some of them are Bawang Merah (Rawa Buaya Sub-District), Komplek DPR and Katalia (Palmerah Sub-District), as well as Empang Gempol, Jalur Kali Besar Barat, Tamansari and Rasa Sayang (Grogol Petamburan Sub-District).
