The Jakarta administration held an online #JakartakeDepan (Jakarta future) Study with the theme Jakarta Empowered through Family Planning, on Thursday (6/9).
Out of 34 provinces, we still rank first
On that occasion, the Jakarta Empowerment, Child Protection, and Population Control (PPAPP) Agency delivered various programs related to family development for the benefit of the progress of Jakarta in the future.
PPAPP Agency Head Tuty Kusumawati said that the administration is grateful for the things that have been achieved together with all the components driving development in Jakarta. One of the indicators is the Human Development Index (HDI), which is increasing from time to time.
Jakarta Holds Economic and Investment Webinar for Sustainable Progress"Last year, Jakarta with 81.11 HDI figures, still ranks first for Indonesia. So, out of 34 provinces, we still rank first," she continued.
The numbers that make up the PMI are made up of three basic components. Then its variables represent life expectancy, namely the level of health, education, and the economy.
"Those components make up the HDI that we have achieved to this day, which is still the best. Talk about the issue of the population which cannot be separated from the issue of family planning, the HDI can be supplemented with other indices, the family development index for example," she continued.
Regarding family planning, she conveyed an explanation with general description points, the governor's vision and mission, eight functions and five dimensions of the family, Jakarta services, family development, and family services. She added the governor's vision for 2017-2022 is that Jakarta is a developed, sustainable, cultured city whose citizens are involved in realizing civility, justice, and prosperity for all.
From that vision, the first mission that connected with her agency was to make Jakarta a safe, healthy, intelligent, cultured city by strengthening family values and providing space for creativity through leadership that engages, mobilizes, and humanizes.
To execute it, the administration initiated a one-stop family welfare service with a one-stop integrated family data collection. It was carried out in collaboration by the PPAPP Agency with the PKK Movement Team which involved 76,114 members of the PKK dasawisma. Then another activity that was a breakthrough was the Friends of Women and Children Post (Pos SAPA). The post itself was already in BUMDs, bus stops, stations, universities, and at 324 RPTRAs.
Many more activities had been carried out collaboratively and presented in the study. Among them was the anti-violence campaign had recently received an award from MURI. Her agency established partnerships with universities, BUMDs, Polda Metro Jaya, NGOs, communities, and so forth.
