The Pegangsaan Dua Reservoir normalization work in Pegangsaan Dua Urban Village, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, has shown progress of about 85 percent.

Drainage Maintenance Division Head Yursid Suryanegara said that the reservoir that has 10,827 square meters wide is currently being dredged about two meters using two long-arm excavators and one amphibious excavator. It has been ongoing since January 4, 2022.

"We send ten workers plus two heavy equipment to optimize the work," he stated, Friday (6/10).

From the reservoir, he targeted to dredge around 48,000 cubic meters of mud to accommodate rainwater in large quantities when it rained.

"So far, we have collected about 40,000 cubic meters of mud," he explained.

Predictably, it will be complete by the end of July 2022.

"Everything goes well. Hope it will finish on target," he stated.
