PT. Food Station Tjipinang Jaya President Director Pamrihadi Wiraryo said the signing of cooperation between Food Station and Gapoktan Sari Makmur was carried out as a form of fair cooperation between regions.

"Food Station will be a standby buyer who is ready to absorb all harvests from Gapoktan Sari Makmur, both in form of dried unhulled rice harvest (GKP) and cracked rice (PK) at prices that provide benedits to farmers, thus they don't have to worry about where to sell the rice and at what price," he explained, in a written statement on Saturday (6/11).

According to him, the cooperation was made to ensure the availability of rice supply at an affordable price for Jakarta residents. As a concrete form of cooperation, the first shipment of 10 tons of Ciherang variety of cracked rice was immediately released by the Governor.

In the future, he would enhance the cooperation by adding several other rice varieties, such as Muncul, Metro Wangi, and Red Rice, to meet the needs of Food Station Rice Factory Production in Gajah City.

"Gapoktan Sari Makmur will send the harvest in the form of dried unhulled rice harvest (GKP) to FS Factory in Gajah City, which will then be processed into cracked rice or rice which will be sent to Jakarta.

Moreover, he said that Jakarta contributed 17 percent to the national economy and became one of the regions with very high food consumption. In order to meet the food needs, Jakarta must collaborate with rice producing areas (production center).

"Only through cooperation with production centers, food supply for Jakarta people can be guaranteed," he asserted.

On this occasion, not only the Food Station who built cooperation with Gapoktan Sari Makmur, but the Jakarta Government through other food BUMDs also collaborated with the Lampung Metro City Government.

The cooperation included the first shipment of 30 cows and eggs by Perumda Dharma Jaya and the processed food products produced by local MSMEs by Perumda Pasar Jaya.
