"Let me express my gratitude to those of you who chose to participate in the Idul Adha prayer at JIS," expressed Governor starting his remarks, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.
He stated it was the second time the international standard stadium held prayers with thousands of worshipers, where previously it was also the location for Idul Fitr prayers. It was a form of the administration facilitating all community activities, including religious activities.
"We are here to facilitate all community activities as well as possible, like activities related to daily life, health, education, worship, including Idul Fitri and Idul adha prayers," he explained.
"Thank you to all who have supported and assisted in all government activities over the past few years. InsyaAllah, this collaboration can be carried out well to build a better Jakarta and bring a sense of social justice," he furthered.
He also invited Jakarta residents to pray for the pilgrims in the Mecca who were performing this year's Hajj, while hoping for their prayers for Indonesia.
"I invite all of you here to pray for our brothers and sisters who are performing the pilgrimage, we pray for them that they will be given health and make it easier for them to carry out the pilgrimage and return as a mabrur hajj," he added.
"We also hope for their prayers, pray for us in Indonesia is always protected, kept away from danger, given the ease to achieve justice and prosperity for all of us," he closed.
