Jakarta Legislators Get IKN Materials at Bimtek

The Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) claimed to be satisfied with some of the material presented during the second 2022 orientation and technical guidance (Bimtek) at the Borobudur Hotel, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (7/26). One of them is related to the impact that will occur after the relocation of the State Capital (IKN).

Jakarta will still have attractiveness and sexiness for people who have businesses

According to Rany Mauliani, Vice Chairwoman of Jakarta DPRD, one of the efforts that must be prepared is to maintain the existence of Jakarta in the eyes of the world, as stated by several economic observers and academics who were presented in the Bimtek.

"We have a basis for the future, so we have to know what to do when Jakarta is no longer the capital city," she stated.

She hoped that Jakarta could be a business city, even though it was no longer the capital city.

"Hopefully, in the future, Jakarta will still have attractiveness and sexiness for people who have businesses," she hoped.

Institute for Development of Economics and Finance (Indef) Executive Director Tauhid Ahmad explained that to remain a business center, services should be improved to attract investors to invest in Jakarta.

"Maintaining it as a national logistics center, do not let its export authority be reduced. Tanjung Priok must also be fixed, its service center must be improved," he added.

He also reminded the Jakarta administration and DPRD to collaborate to improve the facilities and infrastructure of several public facilities.

"By so, people feel comfortable living and coming to Jakarta, as well as health facilities, education must be of international standard. So, we can attract people from other areas," he stated.
